About the Author

Satyendra Kumar Singh

Satyendra Kumar Singh was born on 16 March 1958 in Bhuli Nagar, Dhanbad, Bihar. His early education took place in his ancestral village Karth, and later in the small towns of Kharkhari and Sonda. He completed his Middle, Higher Secondary, and B.Sc. in Madhya Pradesh before earning an M.A. in Social Work with a Gold Medal from the Indore School of Social Work in 1981.

Over the last four decades, he has dedicated his life to rural and tribal development across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
His impactful work has earned him prestigious recognitions, including:

  • 🏅 C.F. Andrews Social Work Award (1981)

  • 🌳 Indira Priyadarshini Vriksha Mitra Award (1994) — by the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India

He currently serves as the Secretary-cum-Chief Executive Officer of the Agrarian Assistance Association, Dumka.

His roles have included:

  • Senior Member, Permanent Lok Adalat, District Civil Court, Dumka (2015–2020)

  • Participant, National Court Excellence Program, National Judicial Academy, Bhopal (2012)

  • Bench Member in several National, Mega, Monthly & Bank Lok Adalats
